We’ve been getting stuck into watching Great British Menu here. With the victor getting a chance to cook a banquet for the 100th anniversary of the Women’s Institute, it’s been great to see some classics cooked and revived in the past few episodes.<\/p>\n
Our favourite was Jak O’connell’s clootie dumplings – traditionally a Scottish dish but such a great all rounder. It’s a great twist on a raisin pudding. It serves well with clotted cream, but goes equally as well with ice cream, meaning it’s not a winter only dish.<\/p>\n
